Genital Nip/Tuck: Female Genital Surgery

Genitals go designer with these cosmetic procedures.
More women are going for genital nip/tuck to enhance sexual gratification and beautify the external genitalia. There are now a variety of cosmetic procedures available for vagina makeover, whether it's to tighten a post-childbirth vagina or to restore virginity. We check them out.

Who May Consider Female Genital Surgery?
Although relatively new, female genital surgery has been gaining popularity in Singapore. Many women who are unhappy with the following conditions because of cosmetic, functional or cultural reasons may seek to have genital procedures performed:
  • Loosened Vagina After Childbirth.
After the vagina has been stretched out and loosened from childbirth, many women complain about stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when laughing, coughing or sneezing), loss of muscle tone and weakened vaginal wall. These conditions lead to diminished sensitivity of the vagina, and often for their male partners, the vagina no longer feels 'tight'.

  • Ageing.
Ageing may result in the descent of pubic hair and labia, which can look unpleasing.

  • Aesthetic Reasons.
Some women, especially those who model swimwear, may find their labia minora (inner lips) excessively long and thick, and aesthetically unappealing. A large pubic fat deposit may be unsightly.

  • Restoring Hymen.
Women seeking to recreate an intact hymen.
