Laser Skin Resurfacing

Fight skin blemishes with these popular laser treatments.

CO2 Laser

  • This ablative laser resurfacing technique is one of the earliest, but also the most aggressive around. The results are very impressive but the recovery time is lengthy and painful and you risk post-treatment complications such as scarring and skin pigmentation changes.
  • Suitable for: The CO2 laser is used to effectively treat severely aged, scarred or sun-damaged skin. This procedure is not for darker skin individuals because of the risk of abnormal pigmentation changes after treatment.
  • Down-time: Initial recovery time is around 10 days to 2 weeks. Expect your skin to be red, swollen, painful and oozing during this time, which will eventually crust and flake off. Your skin can remain bright pink for 3 to 6 months and it can take up to a year before complete recovery.
