Cesaerean: Recovery and Risks

The recovery time for a cesaerean is usually longer compared to vaginal births - hospital stay is usually 4 days instead of 2. And it takes approximately 6-8 weeks before you'll be able to exercise moderately. Take frequent, slow walks while you are recovering as this will help speed up your healing process.

Because a cesaerean is considered a major surgerical procedure, it has risks of serious complications just like any other surgeries. Risks include anesthestic reactions, bleeding, infection of the uterus and bladder, and injury to the urinary tract.
