By four months, your little one starts to recognize your faces and squeals with delight when she sees you. Her hand and finger coordination also improves, and she can now grasp toys and objects, so give her colorful rattles and toys of different textures for her to explore. She'll also begin to make new sounds that's mostly unintelligible yet undeniably cute!



For ages 4-6 Months

PHYSICAL	Holds head up without bobbing; raises head when lying facedown; kicks legs and waves arms more purposefully; rolls over; grabs an object placed near her hand; grasps and pulls objects to mouth; transfers object from hand to hand (by 6 months); sits with support (by 6 months).
EMOTIONAL	Laughs out loud; responds to your voice by smiling and cooing; imitates your facial expressions and sounds;
SOCIAL	Babbles, squeals and gurgles; makes cooing sounds as part of a 'conversation' with you.
