Growth Guide For Your Baby's First Year


By now, your baby is able to sit without any support, loves to crawl around and explore on her own and may pull herself up to a standing position while holding onto furniture for support. It's around this age that she starts displaying clinginess to you, and may become anxious around strangers, or when she is in a new setting.



For ages 7-9 Months

PHYSICALSits without support; can roll over in both directions -- even in sleep; may scoot or crawl; teething.
EMOTIONALMay exhibit stranger anxiety and clinginess and resist staying with anyone other than you.
SOCIALResponds to people she knows; may recognize her own name; says 'Mama' and 'Dada'; communicates through babbles, gestures and facial expression.




0-3 months | 4-6 months | 7-9 months | 10-12 months
