Growth Guide For Your Baby's First Year

Your baby has mastered holding small objects between his thumb and forefinger and responds to simple commands such as "Give Mommy a hug". He can also stand while holding onto something for support and can start taking his first baby steps by walking a stable but movable support -- like a stool! But don't rush to buy his first pair of shoes just yet -- letting your baby walk barefoot around the house is actually best for his balance and coordination.
